Its been a month, but it feels much longer

This article is about a guy that was a reporter who had just gone back home from Haiti when the terrible disaster occurred, he waited for a week to go by and then went back to Haiti for three weeks. He says that even though its just been a month, for the Haitians it feels like its been a year. When he went back home to his home town he saw that no one even talked about the Haiti disaster anymore. He says that while he was there the people didn't just care about the food they cared about praying for the people that were lost during the disaster. He also says that Haitians still have along way to go and that. He says that humans have a brain that functions to get used to things and move on, ans this s why people don't care anymore abut6 Haiti because they when the disaster passes everyone was trying to help but now that its been a month people moved on and remember that Haiti still has a long way to go until everything is back to normal. The author is actually the one who was the reporter, the author feels sad because he really cares about Haiti and he says that after going there and seeing how people really live he feels he needs to help.My opinion is that the author is right because lots of people don't even care anymore.
