Pearl River Contamination
http://edition.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/asiapcf/04/26/china.denim.water.pollution/index.html
The Pearl River at China has been so contaminated, it looks black. A lot of factories happen to be there. The most believed-to-be contaminating factory is a blue jean factory. The factory produces about 200 million jeans per year. It is noticeable that this factory is causing damages since a satellite can show the black water surrounding it. The process in which jeans are turning blue can result in wastes such as a cocktail of dye, bleach and detergent. The jean factory has to start thinking about solutions before the Chinese government shots them out. Other things contaminating it are debris (broken parts) and the bodies of pigs. The contamination is dangerous since fish can get polluted and damage those who eat it.
For my opinion this problem on China is very important and someone has to do something for solving the problem like for example the factory could care more and recycle things and the acids could be deposited on another place. For my opinion you can’t only blame that factory maybe other houses or people are contaminating the river. The author thinks that this can be very dangerous because the fish could eat the toxic things or liquids and then humans can eat those fish and die.
